Safety
Draft wording for the pilot. Safety, privacy, payment and shared-hire text must be reviewed by qualified legal and insurance professionals before launch.
Licensed providers only
Only approved licensed taxi, hackney, minibus and other small public service vehicle operators can receive work through the pilot. Licence or reference details are recorded and approval is granted by a Last Round administrator before any work is visible to that provider. Private motorists are not onboarded.
Pickup points
Venues set and manage their own pickup points so people wait somewhere well lit, sheltered and known to staff. The pickup point travels with the request so the driver and the passenger expect the same place.
Vehicle identification
When a journey is assigned, the passenger sees the provider name, the driver name where available, the vehicle type and its registration or identifier, plus an estimated arrival time.
Location sharing
A vehicle's location is only shared while an assignment is active. It stops when the journey is completed or cancelled, and stored location points for that assignment are removed at that moment.
Reporting a problem
Venue staff, providers and administrators can raise an incident against an assignment or a request. Incidents are visible to administrators for review during the pilot. In an emergency, always contact the emergency services first on 112 or 999.
What we do not do
- We do not collect transport fares.
- We do not split fares between passengers.
- We do not pool unrelated passengers together in this pilot.
- We do not promise that every request can be fulfilled.
